|  SMAP’s Shingo Katori and Yamashita Tomohisa will star TBS’s new Sunday Theater feature Monsters. It will air in October after Mukai Osamu’s Summer Rescue. Monsters is a mystery series starring two detectives. Shingo Katori will play an eccentric detective from the criminal investigation unit of the Metropolitan Police Department who has a tendency to rub people the wrong way. Yamashita Tomohisa will play the pure and straight rookie who is assigned to be Shingo Katori’s partner. He has a strong sense of justice and is also the son of a celebrity. The duo will investigate crimes committed by characters with high social statuses such as celebrities, scholars, entrepreneurs, etc. The series will be produced by Takahashi Masanao (Hana Kimi 2011, The Story of Yamada Taro) and Ishimaru Akhiko (JIN, Mr. Brain, Rookies). It will be directed by Fukuzawa Katsuo (Mr. Brain, Antarctica:The Story of Dogs and Men Who Challenged the Field of God) and written by Makita Mitsuharu (Mr. Brain, Trick 1 & 3).
